Saudi CBAHI Laboratory Specialty Survey Preparation Workshop

This focused two-day course is designed to prepare laboratory professionals for successful participation in CBAHI accreditation surveys, with emphasis on the Laboratory chapter (LB) and its interconnection with Facility Management and Safety (FMS), Leadership (LD), Human Resources (HR) and other relevant Essential Safety Requirements (ESR) Standards.

This course follows the comprehensive 6-day (24-hour) general CBAHI accreditation program that provides an overview of all CBAHI domains, survey methodology, and accreditation decision rules. While the full workshop introduces participants to the accreditation framework and survey process, this specialized workshop provides in-depth practical guidance specific to laboratory-related standards and their implementation in daily clinical practice.

The course focuses on translating standards into measurable laboratory practices, ensuring compliance with Essential Safety Requirements (ESRs), strengthening the importance of evidences in terms of and not limited to committee’s Terms of references, respective departmental/committee minutes, Performance Improvement Projects and Key Performance Improvement (KPIs).

Participants will engage in interactive discussions, smart games/Quizzes to ease the grabbing of information/knowledge.

The course will be online through ZOOM meeting and the LINK WILL BE AVAILABLE IN THE WHATSAPP GROUP.

The course has a mixed medium of instruction in both English and Arabic languages.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

• Interpret and explain the intent and structure of CBAHI Laboratory (LB) standards.
• Introduce the relevant activities included in the Laboratory Standards.
• Enhance laboratory staff knowledge and awareness on the continuous readiness to the accreditation process.
• Prepare the Laboratory staff to conduct internal mock assessments to identify gaps.
• Assist laboratory Quality professionals in the development of corrective action plans to address identified gaps prior to the survey visit.
