PLANETREE ACCREDITATION: Person-Centered Care

PCC is an international American accreditation program for healthcare institutions founded by Angelica Thieriot. It is a certification awarded to healthcare organizations that demonstrate excellence in person-centered care. Issued by Planetree International in 1978. Planetree (Person-Centered Care) Accreditation is based on evidence-based criteria as any accreditation. The purpose of PCC is to improve patient experience and health outcomes by putting the person – not just the illness – in the center of care.

The event’s duration is TWO (2) Hours.

This event has a mixed medium of instruction in both English and Arabic languages.

By the end of this event you will be able to:

1. Distinguish between patient-centered care and person-centered care.
2. Understand the culture of person-centered care.
3. Know the accreditation content, including the 5 domains of PCC.
4. Learn how to apply for accreditation.
5. Become familiar with the accreditation process and requirements.
